\nPlease join us at this action, in case something huge goes wrong”<\/p>\n
And I’d get on my bike and I’d start to ride
\nI’d scope out the route for the march outside
\nI’d find the cops waiting at the end
\nAnd I’d yell a warning back to friends
\nAnd the action would go so perfectly
\nThat our friends in jail would get out and be free<\/p>\n

Sometimes I imagine

\nA writer who tells stories
\nPf the world we want to see<\/p>\n
I’d think of ways of living that don’t rely on stolen lands

\nAnd I’d hear folks say, “But Roo, right now it’s getting worse I fear,
\nIt’s hard to have much hope if you’re a woman, brown, or queer!”<\/p>\n
And I’d tell a tale that is long and deep
\nI’d speak of joy that our work will reap
\nI’d talk of love built without regret
\nI’d tell a story that you can’t forget
\nI’d show a future bright and clear
